- International Textile Machinery Exhibition 2007 comes to Munich This major industry event underlines the importance and international reputation of Munich as a venue for global exhibitions The European Textile Machinery Manufacturers´ Association CEMATEX (Comité Européen des Constructeurs de Machines Textiles) decided on 22 October 2003 to commission the Textile Machinery Division of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) to organise the global fair ITMA - International Textile Machinery Exhibition in 2007. The responsible bodies within the Textile Machinery Division of the VDMA decided on Munich as the venue for the event. Manfred Wutzlhofer, Chairman & CEO of Messe München, was delighted: "This decision confirms the significance of Munich as a trade-fair venue, and the international reputation of Munich trade fairs. It shows, too, that trade fairs are still one of the most important marketing platforms for the industry. We are very pleased to be able to hold ITMA 2007 in cooperation with the VDMA." ITMA will be held from 13 to 20 September 2007. This world fair for the textile machinery industry takes place every four years, at alternating venues. Each ITMA fair is attracts over 100,000 visitors and more than 1,200 exhibitors from all around the world. ITMA 2007 will take up the entire exhibition capacity at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. About ITMA In the halls of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, the latest products of the international textile machinery industry will be presented on 13 - 20 September 2007. The European umbrella organisation CEMATEX, which comprises nine European member associations, is the owner of ITMA and has selected the Textile Machinery Association of the VDMA to engage Messe München to hold the event in 2007. This leading international trade fair of the textile machinery industry takes place at intervals of four years at different exhibition locations and attracts around 100,000 visitors and 1,300 exhibitors from all over the world. ITMA 2007 will occupy the entire exhibition area of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.
